*A small DRINKING town with a big FISHING problem*. This was the first information I gained about our next stop, through the print displayed on a local guys t-shirt who passed by as we arrived.

The camping spot was situated right at the coast on ‘Shark Island’ ensuring us a very unique setting. The small town was awake all night and there was even a firework display. The music continued until it gently woke us up a little earlier than the sun would. This was all thanks to the popular proven ‘Crayfish Festival’ anniversary. It was interesting to experience this rare occurrence of over crowded streets and music bouncing of the German colonial style buildings, with more endurance than any music festival I have attended in the past. Performances usually end before 2am where in Lüderitz it continued until 6am.

Our morning was spent in one of the towns charming cafés, where we ate real German ‘Brötchen’ while being surrounded by a collision of English and German throughout the conversations of the locals.
We strolled through Lüderitz's sidewalks next and before we knew it, the late afternoon had arrived. The much-anticipated ‘Geisterstadt’ just a few kilometres away was still on our to-do list.
